Latest Dodge Viper SRT GTS Concept


Revealing itself ahead of the New York Motor Show debut is the all new Dodge Viper SRT and the SRT Viper GTS. They both will receive the new logo called the “Stryker” which was determined by the Viper Club of America. Rumors about the powerplant state that the SRT Viper will hold a 8.4-liter V10 engine producing 640 bhp and 600 lb-ft of torque. This is supposedly the most torque of any naturally aspirated car in the world.

Under the hood of the new Dodge SRT Viper GTS you will find a lightweight composite manifold, forged pistons, sodium exhaust valves, new catalysts and an aluminum flywheel to save some weight. Overall, this 2013 Dodge Viper is 25 pounds lighter than the previous model. A newly engineered Tremec 6-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the rear wheels, while closer gear ratios give the sports car a final drive ratio of 3.55 to make it even faster.

As for the exterior styling, Dodge tuning enthusiasts can notice some Italian presence with similarities to the Alfa Romeo 8C and the Ferrari 575 with the large scoop in the center.
