The ultra-zoom shooter is also capable of high-speed burst shooting of up to 10fps, for a maximum of 30 images in a single sequence. Its Fast Face Detection technology can quickly finds up to 32 subjects in any scene.

The Pentax X-5 is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps with h.264 compression. The long-zoom camera has an electronic viewfinder with diopter adjustment for a clear view even under bright sunshine.

Pentax will release the X-5 in September for $279.95. It comes in black and silver.
